Ticketing Email Templates

Your MarchingOrder Assistant website should have two automated emails set up: one for guest tickets and one for reserved tickets. These templates are configured with triggers to automatically send when a graduate claims tickets and submits their form, or when a coordinator sends reserved or VIP tickets. You can locate these templates in the Communications module > Manage Templates tab. 

Guest Ticket and VIP Ticket Email Templates

Template Name: “Graduate Sent Ticket To Guest” or “Admin VIP Ticket” (these can be customized to preference, graduates will not see the template name).

Ceremonies: Use the orange [+] icon to select the ceremony associated with the email.

Trigger: Select “Graduate Sent Ticket to Guest” or “Administrator Sent VIP Ticket”. This selection will prompt a popup window to Set default template, if the Yes, replace this template button is selected, any customizations already made in the email body will be removed. If you would like to keep existing customizations to the body of the email, choose the No, Cancel option from the popup window. The trigger will be set and your body copy will remain the same. 

Sender Email: Input your institutions commencement email address.

Subject: “Your Commencement Ticket” or “Your VIP Graduation Ticket” (this can be customized to preference).

Body: The Body of this email template can be customized to include any additional information you would like the graduation guest attendees to know, such as parking information or accessibility accommodations.

The body text must include a link to their ticket. If for whatever reason, the link is not present, it can be added by clicking the
Insert placeholder dropdown, and selecting “Ticket Link” or “Reserved Ticket Link”. This will insert the link needed to access the ticket. If the "default template" was used when the trigger was set, this link should already be included. If the body of the message was created from scratch, you will need to add this link.
