Scanned Tickets Module Overview
Overview of the Scanning Tickets Section
In the Scanning Tickets section, you can:
- View Ceremonies and Ticket Information: See a list of all your ceremonies with event codes, ticket counts, and scanning statistics.
- Scan Tickets: Use the Scan Now button to start scanning tickets in real time.
- View Scan Details: Access detailed information about each scanned ticket.
- Clear Scans: Remove all scans for a specific ceremony.
Navigating the Scanned Tickets Section
Accessing the Scanned Tickets Section
- Log In to your account on [Your Website].
- Navigate to the Scanning Tickets module from the menu on the left.
Understanding the Scanned Tickets Dashboard
On the Scanned Tickets dashboard, you will find:
- Ceremonies List: A table showing all of your ceremonies.
- Ticketing Event Code: Unique identifier for each ceremony.
- Total Allotted Number of Tickets: The total tickets available for each ceremony.
- Tickets Scanned In: The number of tickets that have been scanned by all devices at your venue.
- Percentage of Tickets Scanned: Real-time percentage of tickets scanned out of the total allotted.
Scanning Tickets on the Computer
Starting the Ticket Scanning Process
- Select a Ceremony: Choose the ceremony for which you want to scan tickets.
- Click the Scan Now Button: This will open the scanning interface.
Scanning Tickets
- Open the Scanning Interface: After clicking Scan Now, you will be directed to the scanning interface.
- Scan the Ticket: Use your device's camera or a barcode scanner to scan the ticket’s QR code or barcode.
- Confirmation: The ticket will be processed, and you will see a confirmation message or notification.
Viewing Scan Details
Accessing Scan Details
- Click the View Scans button: This button is available after tickets have been scanned.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to Review Scan Information: View detailed information about each scanned ticket.
Understanding Scan Details
In the View Scans page, you will see:
- Scan Time: The exact time the ticket was scanned.
- Ticket Code: The unique code for the scanned ticket.
- Scan Type: Indicates whether the ticket was physical scanned or manually scanned.
- Device ID: The ID of the device used for scanning.
- Ceremony: The name of the ceremony.
- Graduate Information: First Name, Last Name, and Email of the graduate.
Exporting Scan Details
- Click on Export Scans: To download a CSV file of the scanned ticket data.
- Save the File: Save the exported data to your computer for your records.
Clearing Scans
Clearing Scanned Tickets
- Select a Ceremony: Choose the ceremony from which you want to clear scans.
- Click the Clear Scans button: This will remove all scanned tickets for that ceremony.
Confirming Scan Clearance
A confirmation prompt will appear to ensure you want to clear all scans. Confirm the action to proceed.
Understanding Scan Clearance
Note: Clearing scans will delete all scan records for the selected ceremony. This action cannot be undone.
