Reviewing SayIt Right Recordings - Graduates Recording of their Own Names

On your registration form, the "SayIt Right Recordings" question gives graduates two options for recording their names, using the microphone on the device or receiving a phone call on a number they input. These recordings are used solely as references for name readers and can be utilized by both MarchingOrder Professional Readers and your school’s own readers.

To review these recordings, follow these steps in the MarchingOrder Assistant to create a view:

  1. Create a View:
    1. Go to the Graduates section of the MarchingOrder Assistant.
    2. From the All Ceremonies drop-down menu, select your ceremony.
    3. Click the eyeball icon next to All Graduates and choose Create View.
    4. Name your view (e.g., "Graduate Recordings").
  2. Configure the View:
    1. In the Available Columns section, select the data you want to display on the view. We recommend including the following:
      1. Graduates: Select Graduate Recording Display Name and Has a Recording?
      2. Form Questions: Select How do you pronounce your name?
    2. To filter the view for graduates with recordings:
      1. Scroll to the Filter Results section.
      2. Click Add Criteria.
      3. From the green drop-down menu, choose Graduates: Voice Recording.
      4. In the white drop-down menu, select Exists.
  3. Save the View:
    1. Click Save.

In the Graduates section, use the eyeball drop-down menu to select the view you created (e.g., "Graduate Recordings"). You will now see all graduates who provided a recording through the SayIt Right question. Click the play button next to each recording to listen to the names as submitted by the graduates.
