Installing Fonts

Installing Fonts

If during the display approval process, you submitted special font files to MarchingOrder for use on your display, but you aren't seeing them on your software, your computer may not have all fonts pre-installed.

The default font for the MarchingOrder Director is Arial. If your custom font is not displaying correctly in the MarchingOrder Director software, it is likely because the font is not installed on your ceremony display laptop.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to ensure you’ve got the necessary fonts installed correctly:
  1. Locate the MarchingOrder Director Folder

    1. Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).
    2. Navigate to the location where the MarchingOrder Director folder is stored.
  2. Access the SYSTEM Folder

    1. Open the MarchingOrder Director folder.
    2. Find and open the System folder within it.
  3. Open the FONTS Folder

    1. Inside the System folder, locate and open the Fonts folder.
  4. Install the Fonts

    1. Right-click on each font file in the Fonts folder.
    2. From the context menu, select Install. If you're on a Mac, you might need to double-click the font file to open it in Font Book, then click Install Font.
  5. Verify Installation

    1. After installation, open your MarchingOrder Director software.
    2. Check if the custom fonts are now displaying correctly.

If you encounter any issues, make sure that you have administrative rights on your laptop, as installing fonts may require these privileges. Also, ensure that you’re installing the fonts into the correct system folder if you’re managing multiple font locations. If problems persist, you might need to restart your computer to ensure the fonts are fully integrated.
