Audio Cutting Off

If your audio is being cut off either at the beginning or end of the name recording, please try the following:
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Ensure no other software is running in the background such as antivirus, firewalls, etc.
  3. Verify that Windows Media Player is set as the default media player:
    1. Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Default Apps.
    2. If Windows Media Player is not set as the default media player, make it so, then restart the software.
  4. Ensure audio output is set to be from the headphone jack (not another output).
  5. Plug scanners directly into the computer. If this resolves the issue, verify the USB extender is getting power. (See Scanner Issues section below for more)
  6. Check that the CAT6 cables are securely connected and have not been damaged.
  7. If the problem persists and cannot be replicated on another computer, it is not likely a MarchingOrder Director software issue. Keep troubleshooting your AV system.

Popping Noise in Audio

  1. Access sound settings and disable HDMI sound input.
  2. Ensure audio output is from the headphone jack only:
    1. Right-click the Start button, select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound.
    2. Double-click your default output, select the Levels tab, and mute or set HDMI sound to zero.
    3. Make sure any other audio sources (like on stage microphones or other connected computers) are set to the appropriate levels.
